Tamara Johnston has over twenty years experience working in the nonprofit sector in a senior management capacity.

She served as the Executive Director of the Breckenridge Festival of Film and in development and senior manager positions at various Bay Area nonprofits, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco and Film Arts Foundation.

In 2000 she began providing management and fundraising consulting services to nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area, and subsequently expanded her service area to include clients in other parts of California.

Her clients include organizations working in the arts and media, social services, and health care.
She is a co-founder of 17Reasons, a nonprofit that raises money for local organizations; a founding board member of Homeless Children’s Network, and former chair of HCN’s fundraising committee.

She is based in Oakland, California and holds a B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno in International Relations.
